Last night we held our magical Christmas Concert at Matfen Hall. The Great Hall looked magnificent with its beautifully decorated Christmas Tree and a roaring fire to welcome all of our guests. The Concert Band were on fantastic form playing both pieces of their own and accompanying the carols sung by the congregation, all finely led by our Director of Music, Mr Fowlds. A superb number of soloists including those singing, playing an instrument and reading, all performed to the highest standard with confidence in abundance. The choir gathered on the sweeping staircase to serenade us with three beautiful songs taking our minds into the joy of winter wonderlands. It was a real feast and the perfect way to kick off the festive season.
