We were thrilled to be announced as the winners of the Renaissance Learning 'Creativity and Innovation' award. Imagination is at the heart of teaching and learning, and creativity is the key to getting children engaged and motivated. 

To be recognised as a school in this manner by an impartial, outside agency is deeply rewarding. As, once again, this is only possible due to the fact that this shared passion is effectively implemented by students, staff and parents at all levels. It’s amazing what we can do when we all put our minds to it, even in the toughest of times.

"Reading is fundamental to all learning. A creative and innovative approach in respect to reading is one we actively promote throughout our whole curriculum. During the recent Covid restrictions, we ensured a high quality of provision, in terms of this creative, innovative approach to reading. This has been recognised by Renaissance Learning (the global deliverer of Accelerated Reader), who have awarded Mowden Hall school their national award for 'Creativity and Innovation'."
