Christmas 'Under the Sea' Ball

Christmas 'Under the Sea' Ball

On Saturday night the Dining Hall was transformed into an ethereal underwater realm, complete with an elaborate Under the Sea theme, was nothing short of magical. Each corner sparkled with sea scape, immersing the guests in an aquatic wonderland. The pièce de résistance, however, was the meticulously crafted menu that echoed the theme – a culinary voyage through the ocean's treasures.

The gastronomic journey commenced with "Pearls of the Sea," delicate melon balls nestled in a bed of shimmering blue jelly. Following this, the adventurous diners savoured "Captain Hook's Fingers," delectable fish goujons that transported them to the heart of maritime. The grand finale of the feast was the whimsically named "Lightening Whelks on the Beach," an exquisite creation of choux pastry adorned with a decadent blend of chocolate and cream.

To elevate the dining experience, a specially crafted mocktail named "Blue Lagoon" was served, a concoction of vibrant flavours that mirrored the allure of the deep blue sea.

With the grand feast concluding on a high note, the festivities continued into the night. The young revelers were treated to a disco, orchestrated by none other than the maestro himself, DJ Mr. Wainwright. Rumored to be embarking on a world tour, Mowden's ball proudly claimed the honour of being the inaugural event on his calendar.

The Saturday night extravaganza at Mowden became an unforgettable chapter in the young adventurers' lives.
