Boarders' Weekend

Boarders' Weekend

Well what a busy weekend Year 6 has had in school these last few days!

We started off with lots of excitement as we got ourselves dressed up and ready for the neon disco. The coloured hairspray was such a hit, and I've never seen so many neon coloured faces!

The effort our children went to with their outfits was amazing, and it really paid off when we hit the dance floor in front of the UV lights. Mr Lamb's bouncing tunes got us all moving our feet from the second we approached the disco room. The small dining room was transformed into a neon popping boom bashing music venue! We danced and jumped and sang until we were almost exhausted! And then.... the Cha Cha Slide played ðŸ˜Š

On Sunday after breakfast, we had a Hunger Games-style scavenger hunt activity in the school grounds. The children had to hunt for coloured eggs which held valuable points for their District teams. Some of the on-site dogs even helped to collect the eggs (!) but congratulations went to the winning District, Harry and Oli.

After a really delicious brunch, we headed off to Airbox Bounce trampoline park. Here the boarders tested their balance, their bouncing and back flip skills, their quick reaction skills and their free fall nerves as they bounced and bounced and BOUNCED! Hot and hungry, we headed over to Northumberlandia for an outdoor picnic before heading back to school.

Sunday evening was spent chilling out. We watched movies with some treats, played pool and ping pong and had some well deserved relaxed time with colouring in and chats.

Look out for the next few boarding weekend events or ask me for more details!
