If you paid for a term of lessons and are unable to attend due to medical grounds you will be credited the number of lessons remaining for the next term on the basis that you provide a doctors note via email. If you contact us stating you cannot attend under 24 hours before your lesson commences you will be charged for the lesson.

COVID Illness Policy

If you or anyone you have come into contact with contracts COVID please email us immediately and we will REFUND your remaining lessons. We understand this is a difficult time and do not want our customers to lose out financially if they are taken ill with COVID.

Illness

Never come to your swimming lesson if you and/or your child have any illness, such as, but not limited to: chest infection, conjunctivitis, measles, impetigo, ear infections, asthma or a heavy cold (first days of the cold). Please DO NOT come to your swimming lesson until the symptoms have cleared at least 24 hours prior to your swimming lesson or when your doctor has given the all-clear.

If your child has just a running nose but feels happy and active you will be able to come to your swimming lesson unless your GP has advised you otherwise. Under no circumstances must anyone suffering from diarrhoea or vomiting attend swimming during illness and up to 24 hours after full recovery and stools have returned to normal. If you are concerned about any medical condition, we ask that you always check with your GP before coming to any lessons.

Teachers

We will do our best to ensure you have the same teacher for the entire term for continuity. However, in some rare instances for example, illness we may have to find a cover teacher. If this is the case we will ensure the cover teacher is fully informed of every classes ability, medical conditions and special needs to ensure a smooth change over and maximum progress

Our teachers hold ASA Level 2 Certificate in teaching swimming or the STA equivalent.

Code of conduct

  • No running

  • No eating or drinking fizzy drinks on poolside (water allowed)

  • Please wear flip flop type shoes poolside, or use a pair of blue overshoes

  • During lessons it is essential that parents follow the teachers instructions. Failure to do so could result in serious injury or worse so please do listen to your designated aquatic professional.

  • Please ensure your child is supervised at all times, from the moment you enter the school gate to the moment you leave. We will do everything in our power to ensure your little one is safe in the pool, however, it is your responsibility to ensure your child’s safety getting changed before and after lessons.

All babies that are not potty trained will need to wear a well fitting swim nappy. This layer of protection ensures that if your little one has any little “accidents” the damage will be contained and we will not have to cancel lessons for everyone else.
