The Year 6’s set off on Friday 26th June for a weekend’s camping in the Breamish Valley. The expedition provides the opportunity for pupils to experience camping in the beautiful Northumbrian countryside. Expedition leader Mr Hill was ably assisted by Mr Weldon and Mr & Mrs Morrill. The children were split into groups to put up and share their tents. Duties included setting up the camp, washing up after meals and assisting with building the camp fire. There were many games and activities throughout the weekend and on Saturday everyone went on the Breamish Valley Hillfort Trail, a 4½ mile National Park walk.
