Year 5 visit to a Synagogue

Just before the end of term, Year 5 went to Gosforth where they were shown round the orthodox synagogue. They were shown the traditions and important features of the synagogue and were given an opportunity to ask all sorts of questions. The boys were asked to keep some kind of headwear on out of respect for the religion. They were able to use stencils to draw symbols and each had his or her name written in Hebrew to take home.
