It has been a very busy weekend at Mowden. After some successful matches on Saturday afternoon, the children competing in the Repton tennis tournament departed to stay the night in North Yorkshire. Thank you very much to the Burchnalls for generously hosting us!
The boarders had a relaxing evening, and Sunday saw more tennis players depart, this time for the annual tournament at Belhaven.
Those remaining at school tried their hand at a spot of arrow making and throwing, which ended up highly competitive! Mixed with some baking, shopping and walking, the day was rounded off with a delicious supper.
The tennis players returned tired, but having achieved some very good results. Luis and Eliza were runners-up in the Belhaven tournament, and Henry and Tara won the Plate competition. At Repton, pairs Sam and Blake and Willa and Clemmie both lost in the semi-finals.
All in all, a superb final weekend of the half.
