Under 11 Cross Country at Longridge Towers

On Thursday the 4th of February the Under 11 cross country runners travelled to Longridge Towers. We arrived and warmed up, then the girls race began.

We started off well, but the course was difficult and we slowed down, so that a few people overtook us, but we kept going. By the end Sasha was 7th, Flora 19th, Lucy 20th, Delilah 29th, Iona 30th, beating me by one place, and Minna was 43rd. Overall the girls came third with 136 out of 12 teams. Belhaven won easily with their first runner beating the hare.

The under 11 boys warmed up before their race. The course was difficult with quite a lot of quick people running for Belhaven, but we packed well, with Max coming 5th, Hector 6th, Harry 16th, Will 23rd, Archie 29th, Patrick 31st, Lauri 35th and me 63rd. Overall the boys were 2nd out of 11 schools. Belhaven won, and again their best runner beat the hare.

We would like thank Mrs Knight for coming with us, and Mr. Lord for coaching us and driving us there and back.
