U. 13 Tennis v Dame Allans
On Thursday 29th April the U13 Tennis team played Dame Allans at home. We rallied for a bit then we went into our games. Our play in these matches was generally sound but we did make some sloppy mistakes. We gained a lead after the first matches but only just. We moved onto our second round of matches and managed to keep our stamina up. But this time we were only in the lead by two points. So in the final set of matches it was crucial to boost our final result. We improved significantly in this round and it showed in the scores with both Alice and Francesca and Barley and Ione scoring 7 points to their 0 and Katie and Rosie scoring 5 points to their 2.
The Final score was 42 to Mowden and 21 to Dame Allans. Although we won this we need to improve on our serving and preventing silly mistakes. We would like to thank Mrs White for coaching us, the supporters for supporting us and the kitchen ladies for a delicious team tea.

U11 Tennis Tournament at Dame Allens
On Thursday 10th June the U11 tennis team travelled to Dame Allens for our first tennis tournament. There were seven schools competing; they were split up into Group 1 and Group 2. Couple 1 was Rosie and Millie who won two, drew two and lost two. Couple 2 was Tarynn and Delilah who won four, drew one and lost one. Rosie and Millie came third overall, which was a good result as they were in the harder group. Tarynn and Delilah won in their group, which was another good result. We came 2nd overall and RGS won.
