1st XV v Durham Choristers
On Wednesday 22nd September the 1st XV played Durham Choristers away. We started well, getting a early try, which was scored by Ben Brown. We dominated the first half with Sam, Harry, Matthew and Ben scoring tries.
In the second half we made some changes so the whole squad would get a game. Ben Brown, Hector and Matthew all scored tries in this half. The final score was 57-0 to us. We have a lot to learn from this game.

Colts A v Durham Choristers
On Wednesday 22nd September the Colts A team went to play Durham Choristers. We lost the toss and they kicked
which resulted in Rafe getting a quick try. But then we played sloppily and they scored. After that we played better and Alex, Patrick and Will got tries. Then the whistle went for half time. In the second half we played very well but only got 1 try, scored by Patrick. All in all the score was 7-31 to Mowden.Under 9 A team V Sedbergh Junior School
On Wednesday 29th September Mowden under 9 A had a game against Sedbergh Junior School. Mowden won the toss and we chose to pass, Richard got the ball and scored. We were playing well and we scored 3 more tries. It was 20 points to nil at half time.
In the second half we started scoring again, Harry Sutherland scored his two tries and Sam Brown scored three, Richard scored three and Tom B – G scored one and the final score was 45-0 to us.

Colts A v Sedbergh Junior School
On Wednesday the 29th of September the colts A team played Sedbergh at home. We won the toss and decided to kick. We dominated the first half with Rafe and Ned getting tries but unfortunately they scored as well. Then the whistle went for half time.
In the second half we played very well with Orlando and Harry getting tries and only letting Sedbergh score one. The final score was 26-14 to Mowden.

1st XV v Aysgarth (H)
On Saturday 16th October the 1st XV played Aysgarth at home. We started well with Harry Gaisford scoring under the posts. This was converted by Ben. Quickly after this Alex scored another try. This was not converted. Just before half time we conceded two tries, which brought the score to 12 all.
In the second half it was a tight game. Harry scored two more tries but they were unconverted. They came back at us and scored 3 more tries, which were converted. This made the final score 33-22 to Aysgarth. Although we did not win this match we were very pleased with the game.

Colts A v Cundall Manor
On Wednesday the 3rd of November the Colts A team played Cundall Manor away. We won the toss and chose to kick. We started the first half badly by not tackling and letting them get 3 tries. Then the whistle went for half time. In the second half Alex scored a good try but we let them get 6. The final score was 55-7 to Cundall Manor. We need to improve our tackling and look forward to our next match against Terrington on Saturday.
Colts A v N.P.S.
On Tuesday 12th October, the Colts A team played N.P.S. at home. We won the toss and decided to kick. We started the first half well with Rafe and Patrick getting good tries and only letting N.P.S. score one. Then the whistle went for half time. In the second half we didn’t play so well letting NPS get 2 tries but Rafe and Orlando also got 2. The final score was 26-21 to Mowden.
