Under11 netball v La Sagesse

On Friday the 11^th of January, the Mowden Under 11 A team set off for La Sagesse. We all had our seat belts on tight because it was Mrs. Debil’s first time driving the new bus. We got there safely but we went in the wrong drive and had to turn around. Finely we found the gym where we were going to play the match. We warmed up not knowing how good they were going to be because the last time Mowden had played them was in 2001. We had the first Centre pass and quickly scored two goals by Clemmie and two goals by Alice. We played well not letting them have any shots at goal. We had an inspiring team talk and went out determined to get some more points on the board. We played well in this second quarter with Barley scoring an exceptional goal and Honor scoring three. Clemmie and Camilla managed some excellent interceptions. The half time whistle went with the score at 8-0. We went back out to get some more goals in the third quarter and succeeded with Francesca scoring one goal and Camilla scoring an outstanding six. They had a couple of shots but did not score. The whistle went for the end of third quarter. In the last quarter we played exceptionally well, with good team work and accurate shooting, Hannah and Alice scored a further six goals. The over all score was 21-0. We set off to return to Mowden but there was a jolt from the bus, we didn’t know what it was. Mrs. Debil had forgotten to take the hand break off.
