We started the game well with some good passing, but possession changed and unfortunately they scored. For a while now the ball was in our half but we kept them out. Again, they scored another two goals. We now started playing better, getting it into their half; suddenly we were awarded a free kick which Harry beautifully slotted into the goal. Our moral was back up and we tried hard for the rest of the half only letting in three goals. The score at half time was 6-1 to Aysgarth.
After a team talk which addressed the problems we were experiencing we went out determined to score more goals. Starting well, we were playing in both halves but they scored another 3 goals. Another spell of good play followed on to another free kick in their half, from which Harry scored again. We tried hard for the rest of the second half, though they scored three more goals. The final whistle blew and the end score was 12-2 to Aysgarth
Although the outcome of this match was not as we pleased, we learned a lot from it and how we should try till the last; also that Bertie is our man of the match in goal, saving at least 15 shots. We are looking forward to our next mach
On behalf of the team I would like to thank Mr Hampton for coaching us, Mr Spencer for driving us there and back and the supporters for supporting us.

Under 13 Football v Cundall Manor (A) - Wednesday 21st January
We started the match with poor passing and they scored two goals. Now we got back after a large period of the game being played in our half, and scored a pleasing goal after some good teamwork. The play continued in our half for the rest of this half we tried hard but sadly they scored again making the half time score 4-1 to Cundall. After an inspiring team talk, we came out determined to put pressure on and keep possession of the ball. After a strong start, we kept possession for a while but they regained the ball and quickly scored. Now, after good passing and numerous throw-ins, we had a chance at goal sadly we did not follow it through and were denied; this backfired and they scored another goal. Play continued in our half for the rest of the match and they scored another goal. The final whistle blew and the score was 7-1 to Cundall.
Although we lost this match we improved on our targets and aims on behalf of the team I would like to thank Mr. Hampton for coaching us, Mr Beardmore-Gray for driving us there and back and all the supporters for supporting us.
Under 13 v Newcastle School for Boys (away) - February 26th
One the 26th of February the under 13s football team played NSB away. Once we arrived we noticed that there were no goal posts up, so before kick off we had to wait for them to be put up.
There was no toss but we got the side with the wind that we wanted to have anyway. The match began with good play and passing. After some more good play Harry scored a goal and our morale was high. Unfortunately this half we did not score any more goals.
We had a team talk to explain the new targets for the next half.
This half the wind was against us so we did not have the upper hand; we played hard this half, trying to keep them out but they scored. We had a few breaks but never finished them. They scored another with five minutes to go. The final whistle blew and the final score was 2-1 to NSB this mach has been the closest we have had and we played as a team a lot better. On the behalf of the team I would like to thank Mr Hampton for coaching us and driving us there and back and Mr. Spencer and all the supporters for supporting us.

Under 13 v Newcastle School for Boys - Thursday 18th March
The U13 football team played NSB home. We won the toss and kicked off. We lost possession early and kept them out for a while but they soon scored a goal. We had a few breaks but unfortunately did not finish them off this half, so they dominated and scored three goals.
We had a team talk to lift our spirits and went out in an attempt to raise standards. This half our passing improved and we scored an early goal. A little later, they scored another goal. This half Harry Reed scored a goal for us after numerous attempts. This meant that in this half we kept the score at one goal each.
As this is the end of the season for us, on behalf of the team I would like to thank the spectators for supporting us and Mr Hampton for coaching us and we would like to present him with a ball signed by the team.
