We managed to obtain tickets to watch the important quarter final clincher in the European Rugby Champions’ Cup tournament this afternoon. Both sides needed to win by a reasonable margin to make it out of the group stage, so it promised to be a tough match. It was fun to see the Irish fans dressed in their green and their kilts and leprechaun kits. The first half went the hosts’ way with the score reaching 14-3 to Stade Toulousain. Sauveterriens scattered during the break to spend pocket money on flags, hats, scarves and of course chips and coke! The Irish came back strongly in the second half but it was too late by then and the final score saw Toulouse go through as 19-10 winners. Everyone loved the atmosphere and the excitement of the game.
