On Wednesday, Monsieur Pujol invited Sauveterre children to play handball against some of his local Under 11 players in the Lombez Sports Centre. Each team played 10 minute games against each of the French teams and had great fun. Almost all the Mowden boys and girls were involved. It seemed to be a more aggressive form of netball / basketball and both the boys’ and girls’ teams thoroughly enjoyed every game. The French children were very sporting and we mixed up the teams at the end for a fun game. We ended the afternoon with a delicious goûter, provided by the Lombez families afterwards. All agreed that they would love to have a chance to play again some time.
