It was good to see all the new Sauveterre tops distributed on Friday morning. The group going to stay with families in Toulouse set off looking smart and among other Friday activities there was a trip to Simorre farmers’ market with Mr Spencer. There were plenty of chances to try out our French and as a result, lots of kind offers to try out various tasty products, like fresh apple juice, chocolate crepes, tofu, honey and one kind seller gave everyone a beeswax candle free!
On Saturday, we all piled into the Stade Ernest-Wallon to watch Saracens put the home side (Stade Toulousain) to the sword in a very enjoyable afternoon of European Cup rugby in which many well known international players took to the pitch. The final score was 17-28.
