Hexham Fire Station

Year 2 visited Hexham Fire Station and were met by 'Red Watch'. We were told about all the different jobs a fireman does other than fighting fires. The crew showed us the equipment they use and a ‘squirter’ similar to that used during the Great Fire of London. We had great fun trying on their fire fighting clothes before we climbed aboard the fire engine. The highlight of the visit was squirting the fire hose and some of us getting very wet.
