Review of Lady Dorothy Dangafield and the Pirates
On the 25th May, 4H performed Lady Dorothy and the Pirates to the Pre-Prep and the parents. Jessica was the main part, Captain Swordfish. She was scary with her face. I thought Emily did well as Lady Dorothy. My favourite bit was being covered in the net when we were captured by the sailors. I was Scarface and I liked my part. My favourite line was, "Well, if it wasn't for the captain, I'd stopped being a pirate long ago!" I liked my costume too. It was nice. I wouldn't wear it to go to town. The lighting, done by Mr. Bodger, made it look hot. There were sound effects too: gunshots, waves and seagulls. If we didn't have them, the play would have been boring. When I was on the stage, I felt nervous, but I got the hang of it. I liked the practices.
