Northern Legends, The Year 6 play in rehearsal
The Year 6 play to be performed on Friday, February 10th, has dramatized four stories from the North of England – which ties in nicely with National Storytelling Day – ‘The Dirty Bottles,’ found to this very day in the Cross Keys inn, Alnwick, a redemptive tale of ‘The Tailor of Cresswell’, followed by what might be called a medieval Romance of ‘The Two Knights of Dunstanburgh Castle’ and finally, the legend of ‘The Lambton Worm’. Rehearsals are in progress and here is some of the action from this morning’s session which will be concentrating on the four songs that the cast is learning. The play will be in conjunction with the Alzheimer’s Society.
