A group of boarders attended the North East Children’s Cancer Run in Gosforth Park Racecourse on Sunday, taking on the gruelling 5km run in hot and sunny conditions. The children showed grit, determination and stamina as they emerged from the wooded section and completed the final baking hot furlongs along the front straight in front of the grandstand. The rewards were considerable though, as a trip to a local well-known ice cream parlour and an afternoon on the Mowden Waterslide proved to be a great way to cool off and relax!
