The boarders had a fantastic day in glorious Northumbrian sunshine watching the races up the road at the Downhills Point to Point meeting. This year the meeting celebrates its 60th anniversary, having started at Downhills back in 1948. It moved very close to Mowden Hall in the fields of neighbouring Stelling Hall for a few years in the 1950s. Mr Bailey was asked to give away the trophies for the Mowden sponsored Pony races. There were many familiar faces in the crowd of former and current Mowden families enjoying their day out too.
