It was with great excitement that we made our way to Hesleyside Hall on Saturday, to tackle the first Mestival Mud Run! The Mowden runners tackled the mud with typical energy and enthusiasm.
“On Saturday everyone went on a huge, muddy run at Hesleyside, near Bellingham. It started raining when we arrived and stopped as we set off after the picnic. On the route there were various obstacle, like cargo nets, water slide, hat bails, a trench and a gloopy water and sinking mud part! As we finished, we were given a medal, some fizzy juice, a goody bag and a t-shirt. Finally we sponged ourselves down to get the mud off! It was really good fun and quite tiring!”
On our return, the Mateys also tackled the mud with much appreciated energy and enthusiasm! A great day was had by all.
