The lead up to Christmas was enhanced by a wonderful evening of music and entertaining readings given by Mowden Hall’s Choirs, Concert Band players, individual musicians and successful candidates from the recent Mowden Reading Competition. The Great Hall was a welcoming venue, laid on generously as usual by Sir Hugh and Lady Blackett, and it looked magnificent with its giant Christmas Tree and log fire. Visitors and performers were all able to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat afterwards, which was much appreciated.
