After receiving the great news of their successful Common Entrance results, the Year 8 children packed their ruck-sacks and headed for the Lake District, where they enjoyed the early days of the current dry spell of weather. The first goal was to take part in the Great North Swim in Lake Windermere, from where they headed for their accommodation for the rest of the week. The walks they went on were spectacular, with the fells and lakes looking their best in the bright sunshine. They enjoyed abseiling and rock climbing as an extra experience during their trip.
