On their last night at Mowden, the Year 8 pupils and their teachers dressed in black tie for the farewell dinner, preceded by drinks in the rose garden. It was a memorable and happy occasion, with a superb meal laid on by our fantastic kitchen staff. Head Boy, Henry Bateson and Head Girl, Ida Bridgeman both made outstanding speeches, which showed appreciation for their time at Mowden while encouraging their fellows to look ahead, despite the sadness of moving away from each other. Mr Weldon delivered an entertaining resumé of each child’s time at the school. Dinner was followed by some fun in the gathering darkness outside and some wild dancing at the Leavers’ disco.
