Sailing Regatta and Orienteering event at Windermere St Annes, Cumbria
To see a slideshow of photos of the day, please click hereThe year 4, 5 and 6 boarders had a wonderful day in the beautiful surroundings of Lake Windermere, courtesy of Windermere St. Anne's School, who organised a combined sailing regatta and orienteering event. Despite calm conditions, the sailors battled for position on the lake, using paddles, flapping sails and with the occasional capsize too!
At the same time, a challenging orienteering course faced the other other group, who negociated unfamiliar territory, yet managed to come first overall, with Harry Gaisford achieving the fastest completion of the course. The two group swaped over after lunch.
Thanks go to the staff and pupils at Windermere St. Annes for inviting us to such a super day, to Mrs Kay and Miss Matson for taking us and to a number of parents who came to support us.
