Year 3 Trip to the Centre for Life

Year 3 visited the Centre for life where they spent the day exploring. They completed a workshop on 'Keeping Healthy' where they looked at nutrition, bones, teeth and how the body heals itself.  Part of the day was spent seeing how people manage to live in extreme climates, dressing up in Inuit clothes was a real highlight!  The day ended with a visit to the mini dome to see a display of the night sky over Newcastle in the winter and then into the lab for a magic fire show.  The lunch packed up for us by the kitchen staff was delicious, the children tucked in feeling hungry after a busy schedule.
