Walking on Simonside
On Sunday the 29th of September the 7th Year, Miss Cashmore, Mr Hill and his son went on a walk in the Simonside hills just south of Rothbury. On the hill there were erosion problems caused by people, because most of the paths were made of peat which erodes easily. To stop this there are paths made out of large slabs of rock which were brought in by helicopter. The walk was 5 miles in total.
