Calvert Trust Trip

On the 9th of November the 7th and 8th Years went on a visit to the Calvert trust. We had an early breakfast and set off with warm clothes and the correct gear and we set off in the minibus. We arrived there and it was raining. We were given waterproof trousers and we were taken to the boathouse to do some sailing. The 7th and 8th Years were split up onto two boats we had a few good gusts of wind and a few of us were given a go at steering. On the boat the seventh years had a two-minute silence. We arrived back at the boathouse and we were given hot chocolate. We went back to get lunch and the Calvert trust gave us some nice soup. We were given harnesses and taken to the zip wire. The zip wire ran across a river. It was great fun and we went in twos and everyone got a go. Then we were taken to a big barn to do some climbing most people got to the top and everyone got two goes. On behalf of this trip we would like to thank Pauline the kitchen lady, for getting up early and giving us breakfast, Mr. Hill and Mr. Thomas for taking us, and the Calvert trust for having us.
