On September 21st, Year 3 went to Sauveterre for five days. We travelled to
In the morning, we had an art lesson with Natalia and a French lesson with Madame Roujas. After break, we went to the market in L'Isle en Dodon. We looked for unusual things. We found some strange vegetables, some sea snails, and other interesting objects which we bought. In the afternoon, we went to the bakery in Lombez, where Monsieur Pellis let us make fruit tarts. We also went for a walk in the town and went to a café. We bought some sweets in the sweet shop. We watched some men playing Boules. When we got back to Sauveterre, we went for a swim. In the evening we watched Ice Age on the new white board.
On Sunday morning, the boys went to the bakery to get the croissants. We also collected our fruit tarts. On Sunday afternoon, we had a picnic by Samatan lake. We played on the beach, but Matty had an accident and had to go to hospital for stitches.
On Monday, we did lessons in the morning. We started by joining in with Trivial Pursuit. We did drama with Madame Harris. We did Civilisation with Madame St Lebe. We did more art with Natalia. In the afternoon, we went to visit the fire station, but the firemen were out dealing with an emergency, so we had a look around on our own. After that, we went shopping in the supermarket and went to a café for an ice cream. Finally, we went to Sauveterre village to look at the view and finished with a swim.
On Tuesday morning, we packed and said good bye to everyone in assembly. We flew back to
We would like to thank Mr and Mrs Bailey and all the staff at Sauveterre for letting us stay. Mrs Kay, Lucy Trewhitt and Mr Spencer for taking us and all the parents who came with us for making the trip such fun.
