Equestrian team
On Saturday 5th of December the Mowden Hall School equestrian team which included Lucy B-C and Caspar and Delilah de Wesselow travelled to Queen Ethelburger's College in York.
When we arrived we went to find the main arena. We walked the 80cm course with an experienced coach, and then we went to get the ponies ready. We quickly warmed up. First to go was Delilah, on her little pony Mornay. She did very well, getting a double clear and going on to come second. Next to go was Caspar on Mr. Measles. He did very well, considering that he was by far the youngest competitor. Last to go was Lucy on Mini, who also did very well, getting a double clear, and then she went on to come third.
The next class was the 90cm, which only Lucy and Delilah did. Lucy went first and did a very good double clear, which was good because there were lots if scary fillers and big spreads, Lucy then went on to come fourth. Delilah went next, and had a few stops in the first phase, but she went clear in the second.
We would like to thank Matey Angela and Mrs Beardmore-Gray for organising the equestrian team. Queen Ethelburger's for hosting the event, our parents for supporting us, Mrs de Wesselow for taking us there and back and Mrs Baker-Cresswell for the delicious team lunch.
