Den Building

All the full boarders who were left behind, after the year 8 rugby and hockey teams had left for their tours, met up with Mr Spencer and Mr Fowlds to agree on some rules about today's den building activity. We formed our own groups and went off to find our own favourite area of the woods to build a den - our instructions were to make sure the dens all had:

• a roof, door and walls.
• a lookout post
• a safe booby-trap or earlywarning alarm
• a comfortable bed or chair for Mr Fowlds to snooze on
• a hiding place for a secret horde
• at least one member of each group camouflaged

The time offered was one to two hours, to build something from scratch. At 5.15pm some were still eagerly adding features to their creations!
