Teddy Bears Picnic

This year, the weather played its part in moving the Teddy Bears' Picnic inside from the normal venue to the school gym. Teddies and their owners arrived in their dozens in the gym and were soon tucking into a delicious picnic tea on their rugs, of cakes, strawberries, biscuits and sandwiches. Teddy Bear activities were on offer, including making teddy bear masks, teddy bear cut-outs with moving legs and arms, decorating shortbread teddies, paining and colouring teddies. One very large teddy was exhausted by the fun and fell asleep! At the end, Mrs Neal organised a Teddy parachute game, and all the owners shook the parachute to make everybody's teddy bears bounce up into the air!
Many thanks to Mrs Neal and all her helpers and parents and especially the kitchen staff, who made such a delicious picnic tea for everyone. Thank you to all the teddy bears and their owners for coming to the 2009 Teddy Bears' Picnic!
