National Rounders' Squad success for Ffion

Ffion, a pupil in Year 8, has been selected to play in the England Under 13 Rounders' squad. Ffion heard about her success when the national squad was announced at the weekend, following a rigorous selection process involving several hundred team hopefuls and two rounds of trials, and culminating in a final selection day in Hereford.

Ffion's place in the squad of twelve is a fantastic achievement, and she is looking forward to playing alongside the other qualifiers: "It is an excellent opportunity for me to keep improving my game and to play at national level," she said.

Staff and pupils alike at Mowden Hall offer warm congratulations to Ffion for her well-deserved place in the squad. Ffion will now join in pre-season training before national matches commence after Common Entrance exams in June.
