French Day 2009

On Wed 13 May, the second Francovision song contest was held during French Day.
7 French speaking countries were represented and children from Y5, 7 and 8 impersonated various singers such as Belgium's own and uniquely talented punk Plastic Bertrand, France's female singer of the century Edith Piaf. However, it was the Andorra's Rock'n Roll rendition of Frere Jacques by children of 7S that most impressed the 6 judges : they were declared worthy winners of the contest after gaining the most votes (based on language quality and performance).
At breakfast , we had chocolat chaud , croissant and pain au chocolat.
At lunch, we were treated to an excellent cheese selection and carambars and boarders were able to sample garlic and herbs "escargots" during their suppers.
