Pumpkin Lanterns

On the night of Halloween all the borders went into the dining room and took a pumpkin each and sat down at a table with three or four other people. Wehollowed out the pumpkinsand started to drawour designs on the outside of the pumpkins.

When we finished our designs and went to line up in front of the Gappies who were going to carve out the pumpkins. But one of the year eights found a school knife and started to cut out their design so the year eights were allowed to cut out their own pumpkins. It was great fun and they all looked really good on show in the dining room.
