The new Headmaster of Mowden Hall
The new Headmaster of Mowden Hall School, Mr Ben Beardmore-Gray, will take up his new post this coming September.
Having been educated at Ludgrove Prep School and Ampleforth College, Ben Beardmore-Gray then read History at Newcastle University before qualifying as a solicitor. Subsequently, he worked in the City for three years specialising in Project Finance. Aged 27, he took a teaching post at Ludgrove, where his father had taught for twenty years. He then moved to Farleigh Prep School in Hampshire and has been Deputy Head there for the last six years. Sarah and he have been married for seven years and have three children, Tom (aged 5), Ella (4) and Jake (2).
As a family they have strong Northumbrian connections. Sarah was also a student at Newcastle University and Ben's parents lived in Wark from 1992 - 2002. Ben also has several cousins who live in the Tyne Valley.
At his current school, Ben is in charge of boarding matters and he is a teacher of History and Maths.
