Religious studies
Mowden Hall is a Church of England school and although studies in RS include those of World Religions, there is a strong bias towards the Bible and Christian teachings. The Common Entrance syllabus has become more diverse in recent years. Reviews have taken on requirements of the National Curriculum and therefore it is appropriate that both link together into the schemes of work laid down in the school curriculum available on the school website. Two periods per week are devoted to this subject within the school timetable.
The Head of Department is currently supported by one other member of staff teaching within the department.
