Mowden Hall parents and children met up at Bywell, near Morpeth, for a Clay Pigeon shooting competition at the Exeat. The event was arranged by Mr Morris and Mr Bailey and the Mowden caterers saw to it that all competitors were treated to excellent refreshments. There were some fine performances by young and older shots, and trophies were won in a variety of categories.
