On Sunday 14th October a small group of Year 7 girls set off for an adventurous day in Scotland, joining pupils from four Scottish prep schools (and the Glenalmond Chapel Choir) to prepare for an evening service at Glenalmond College. The sedate journey saw us arrive at 11.00am where we met Isla D and our three guides for the day. The children enjoyed the mixture of short rehearsals, fun activities and regular meal breaks throughout the day.
The evening service was excellent, the chapel was full, our eight girls sang energetically, and Isla D delivered her reading with confidence.
After the service we ventured in to Perth for an evening meal at Paco’s restaurant, probably better described as a banquet. We stayed overnight at Glenalmond, leaving after breakfast on Monday and called in to Seahouses for lunch before arriving home at 2.00pm.
Well done to Mrs Roberson and Miss Serbrock for making the trip both enjoyable and successful.
