Shoppers in Eldon Square were treated to an hour of seasonal music performed by some of our Year 7 and 8 Choir members. The varied programme included traditional arrangements of Silent Night and Away in a Manger, updated settings of the Virgin Mary had a Baby Boy and Go tell it on the Mountain, some Christmas songs including Jingle Bells and Winter Wonderland and a couple of feel-good contemporary numbers – Wings and Winter Song.
The children sang their hearts out and everyone enjoyed the festive occasion. It was nice to see some family, including a few Old Mowdenians, among the audience. Nearly £50.00 was raised for the Early Bird Charity.
