The Mowden boarders went to watch the Whitley Warriors take on Sutton Sting on Sunday night at the Whitley Bay Ice Rink. Whilst it was a chilly evening outside, the atmosphere inside the stadium was buzzing as we all settled down to an evening packed with drama and aggression. Not only were we dazzled with the skill, balance and agility of both teams, but we were also treated to a tense home victory. Having trailed by a goal, the Warriors managed to get 2 goals back against an incredibly impressive opposition goalkeeper. Clear cut chances on goal were rare, but a well fought victory was greeted with great cheers from the home crowd. Our very own Ben took to the ice in the interval to score his first ice hockey goal, and we all returned with dozens of pucks that were offered to the pupils.
