The Mowden senior girls arrived for their games session with an extra spring in their step, as they were the first to use the brand new astroturf, which was passed as fit to play on as soon as the frost had thawed this week. The girls were thrilled to be practising and playing on such a fantastic surface after all those years of hacking through tufty and muddy grass. Mrs Pye was delighted to be taking the girls on it for their first session and looks forward to seeing how much their hockey skills will improve. The first goal scored on the new pitch? It was scored by Clemmie!
