The Sauveterriens set off on Sunday for Vielha, just over the border in the Spanish Pyrenees. Staying at the recently refurbished Hotel Tryp Vielha, the group was sumptuously fed and comfortably lodged throughout the week. All skiing took place up at the well-known resort of Baqueira-Béret. Ski instruction was led by our regular team from Samatan, with Sauveterre staff in support. Duncan and Maria Bailey from Cothill joined the Bowers in providing expert instruction too. With fresh snow falling on the first two days, the sun arrived on Wednesday making conditions perfect for beginners and experts alike. On the last day, everyone enjoyed a fabulous day of sunshine and unbelievable powder snow on the upper slopes. The ski trip disco was again a highlight, with Mr Pujol and his DJ assistant Mr Graham providing the dance mix, over at the Hotel Tuca. All in all the week was a huge success, enjoyed by everyone.
