On Saturday night, the children took part in a Newspaper Fashion Show. Each group had a huge pile of newspapers and lots of Sellotape with which to make their creations. They then chose their model and began making the garments.
Inspiration ranged from helicopters to peacocks and the final creations were topped off with makeup from Mrs Cooper.
We then made a human catwalk for the models to walk down, strutting to the music track of their choice. The Gaps were first down the runway to show the others how it should be done! Mr Bailey was chief fashionista and judge and awarded the overall prize to Myrtle’s group.
A good night was had by all and it was superb to see children of all ages working together and having great fun making their fashion statements. A big thank you to all the parents and staff who donated their newspapers for this activity.
